Consultancy work with a New Zealand based research and development engineering company working with domestic heat and power generation (microCHP).

GCM Solutions performs a hands on role with the European based suppliers, focussing on ensuring that the ordered parts are manufactured in good time to be despatched to New Zealand at the lowest possible cost, and to the quality standards required. Of particular note have been the processes involved with moving parts from the prototype stage through to series production. This has involved developing and encouraging the client to adopt processes for managing the suppliers, and ensuring robust design cut-offs.

The product is unique, has an increasing demand, but is also going through various design iterations as its performance is improved, or modified to incorporate customer requests. GCM Solutions has taken a lead in guiding the client towards world class design and production techniques in order for them to incorporate batch manufacturing into their research and development company, on extremely tight budgets.

The role requires working with French, Dutch, and Belgium clients.

GCM Solutions experience of manufacturing with blue chip companies has ensured the journey from limited prototypes through to early series product has been closely managed, and invaluable to assist the client move forwards on extremely tight budgets.
